Support or Donate to Reef Check Hawaii

Reef Check Hawaii is a volunteer coral reef monitoring and education organization. We simply could not fulfill our mission and goals if it were not for the hundreds of volunteers that donate their time, energy, and skills. But we also need financial support.  Training volunteers, conducting surveys, purchasing equipment and supplies, as well as developing and printing our educational and informational materials cost money. We've also expanded the scope of our monitoring and reporting activities by becoming a partner in the Eyes of the Reef Network which is a collaborative project between the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Aquatic Resources, and Reef Check Hawai'i.

Please consider supporting Reef Check Hawai'i.  We have numerous options, so everyone, can make a contribution.  Remember, Reef Check Hawaii is a 501(c)3 non-profit and as such, your donations are tax-deductible.  Besides, with all the different options, we've made it easy to support Reef Check Hawai'i: check out the links below to see which one is right for you.

Thank you for supporting Reef Check Hawaii. We couldn't do it without you!

Mahalo,
The Reef Check Hawaii Team

Donate to Reef Check Hawaii's fundraiser and support our efforts to expand and increase the number of surveys and trainings that are conducted across the main Hawaii islands. We have teams established on most of the islands, but we need more! We do not have teams on Molokai, in Hilo, and areas of Kauai and Maui.  Plus, we have reached out to Lanai and trained about 20 residents, but we would like to return and help this newly formed survey team gain the skills and confidence to independently survey their island.

Greenraising.com

Greenraising was started by the parents of elementary school children who watched how their school's parents associations struggled each year to raise the funds necessary to provide an excellent education, and who bought their share of cookie dough and magazines to help that happen. At the same time, they noticed that their children were coming home with concerns about the environment, pollution, global warming and living conditions in the world, and were feeling helpless to change things. A little research yielded a host of small things each family could do to help the situation, and a light bulb went off (well, technically a compact fluorescent bulb). Greenraising was created to help solve both problems: raise money for schools and give children an opportunity to learn that their actions can change the world.

Of course, it's not just children who want to help improve the planet, and not just schools who need money, so the mission expanded to let other non-profit organizations participate as well.

Reef Check Hawaii is proud to be a Greenraising affiliate. Shop online at Greenraising.com for a variety of earth-friendly items.
